God gave the Israelites Ten Commandments written on stone.  Today we have the New Testament as a guide for us to live by.  All but one of the Ten Commandments can be found in the New Testament.  The fifth commandment was the Sabbath command for the Israelites.  Today we worship on the First day of the week because that is when Jesus rose from the dead and when the early Christians came together to worship.
