Those who look to the Lord for justice, mercy and deliverance an not themselves. |
| mourn: | Those who are truly sorry for their sins. |
| meek: | Those who are humble toward God. They recognize that God is in control of everything. |
| righteousness: | To seek to be right with God. To seek justice. |
| merciful: | Those who actively help those who are miserable due to things beyond their control. |
| humble: | Not proud. |
| pure in heart: | Those who are free from the bad things of the world. Their hearts are seeking the right things of God and not the world. They have turned away from sin. |
| peacemaker: | Those who try to keep peace between others. |
| insulted: | To have bad things either said about you or done to you which hurt your feelings. |
| persecuted: | To harass or annoy someone to cause them some harm. |
| mocked: | To make fun of someone. |
| hallowed: | Holy and honored. Someone extremely special, worthy of praise. |
| debts: | Something owed. |
| prayer: | Talking to God and asking Him for help or comfort as our heavenly Father. |
