GGenesis 1:1-31

In
the
beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And
the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of
the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and
there was light.
And
God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the
darkness.
And
God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the
evening and the morning were the first day.

The earth did not have any
shape at the beginning and it was very dark.
God said, Let
there be a firmament (sky) in the midst of the waters, and let it
divide the waters from the waters.

God
spoke
and gathered the waters to one place and made dry ground
appear. And it happened. God called the dry ground
"land,"
and
the waters he called "seas." God spoke again and made
the land produce plants, trees, and fruit with seed. And it
happened as He said. God saw that everything He had
created was good. This was the third day.

God spoke again and separated the
day from the night and made two great lights in the sky --
the
greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the
night.
He also made the stars. God set them in the sky to
give light on the earth, to rule the day and the night, and to
separate light from darkness. God saw that it was
good. This was the fourth day.

God spoke again and created the
birds that fly above in the sky, created
the
great creatures of the sea, every living and moving thing that
lives in the water, according to their kinds, and every winged bird
according
to its kind. God saw that it was good. God blessed them and
said,
"Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and
let the birds increase on the earth." This was the fifth
day.

And
God spoke again and made living creatures according to their
kinds:
livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each
according to its kind. And it was so. God saw that it was
good. Then God decided to make man in His image, in His likeness,
and let them rule over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the
livestock, over all the earth, and
over
all the creatures that move along the ground."

So God
created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male
and female he created them. God blessed them and told them to be
fruitful, increase in number, fill the earth, and control
it. Rule
over
the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living
creature
that moves on the ground. Then God told them that He was giving
them every
seed-bearing
plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with
seed in it as food. Also I give you for food
all the
beasts
of the earth, all the birds, all the animals, everything
that has the breath of life, and
every
green plant. And it was so.
God
saw all that he had made was very good. This was
the sixth day.

On the
seventh day God
rested from everything He had made.
